Born and raised on Kauaʻi, Vern Udasco founded Kauaʻi Property Beacon to provide homeowners and investors with something every off-island property owner needs: a trusted, experienced presence on the ground when they can’t be there.
Vern brings a diverse background spanning real estate, construction, acquisition & contracting, property ownership, and remote rental operations. His experience includes serving as a former real estate broker, service and supply contracting professional (Department of Defense), landlord, and vacation-rental owner/operator, with experience managing properties remotely across Hawaiʻi, Arizona, Texas, and Tennessee. As an Airbnb Superhost and VRBO Top-Rated Host, Vern understands firsthand the challenges of protecting, maintaining, and responding to issues at a property from thousands of miles away.
After more than two decades of federal service, Vern retired from the federal government and turned his focus toward serving his home community on Kauaʻi. A U.S. Army veteran, National Home Watch Association (NHWA) member, and holder of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 safety certification, Vern brings a service-driven approach centered on accountability, preparedness, documentation, communication, and follow-through.
Vern is joined by his brother PJ, also born and raised on Kauaʻi, who brings years of hands-on experience in construction, repairs, maintenance, and property care both on Kauaʻi and the mainland. Together, they combine deep local roots with practical property and construction knowledge to provide dependable oversight homeowners can trust.
Kauaʻi Property Beacon was built from the perspective of a property owner, not simply a service provider. Our services include Home Watch, vacant property checks, home monitoring, emergency response, maintenance coordination, vendor access, storm checks, concierge services, detailed reporting and documentation, and minor construction and repairs.
